In this two-week workshop, first year industrial design students got to create their own superhero, antiheroine or villain. What are his/her tasks or intentions? What tools does she/he need? They created a small universe in which their heroes fight or commit crimes, fulfill missions or foil plans. The task was to develop a tool, gadget or wearable that is tailored to the character of the hero or heroine. The students got to know Arduino and used it to build and program their heroes’ tool. They also took an excursion into the world of body extensions and cyborgs.
